Local artist Sue Southorn has been voted most popular artwork at the recent Spark creative conference organised by Warwick District Councils Arts Team.

As well as hosting a variety of talks, there was a virtual art gallery showcasing artwork and sculptures by 40 local artists, including Southorn’s piece ‘Back to blue with a hint of pink’. The work was then gifted to local photographer Will Phillips who was the most active conference participant.

This year’s conference was centred around five core themes: voice, placemaking, pathfinding, engagement and innovation.

David Guilding, Arts Manager at Warwick District Council, said: “This virtual art gallery showed some creative talent that Warwick District has to offer, and I would like to congratulate Sue Southorn on winning the popular artwork at the conference.”

Over 540 people attended the online event, and if you could not attend, all 37 hours of content is available on the Spark YouTube Channel.
