Coventry is ready to watch England finally bring it home

The flag of St George is flying high outside the Council House this weekend as the city wishes the men’s national football team good luck ahead of the European Championship final on Sunday.

Councillor George Duggins, Leader of Coventry City Council, said: “I know I speak for the city when I say we are all behind the team on Sunday.

“The England flag will be flying outside the Council House all weekend, and we all wish the team the very best.”

Both BBC and ITV will be showing live coverage of England’s first appearance since their World Cup victory back in 1966. The big question is, can Gareth Southgate and his team end 55 years of hurt for the nation and bring football home once more…
