Friday the 12th of March 2021, brought to light the amount of cannabis discovered in the Hillfields, Coventry.

Coventry City Centre Police posted online images from the bust containing 155 cannabis plants which was seized alongside 10 kilos of dried cannabis estimated to be roughly £250,000 in worth.

Two people were arrested yesterday in connection to the bust.

Despite there being no connection known to the people of the public, people have began to take notice of the increase of cannabis busts, including Royal Leamington Spa who recently in February had around 200 plants seized.

Coventry City Centre Police also voiced their concerns with this kind of electrical set-up used for growing the cannabis plants: “This is incredibly unsafe and created a very high chance of an electrical fire taking place, especially when you consider that they have to regularly spray the rooms with water for the plants.”
