Plans to develop the Warwick district’s first Country Park are to be considered by the Council’s Executive later this month.
The latest proposals follow two public consultations, which took place between November 2019 and June 2020, receiving more than 2200 responses. The results have been incorporated into a masterplan, drawn up in collaboration with Bishop’s Tachbrook Parish Council.
If approved, the project to create Tachbrook Country Park, a new 56-hectare public space on land between Bishop’s Tachbrook, Leamington Spa, and Warwick, will be taken to the next stage.
The Chairman of Bishop’s Tachbrook Parish Council Matt Greene said:
“Not only will this development provide an excellent public open space for a wide range of recreational activities, but we also hope it will encourage more walking and cycling and reduced car use in our parish.
“We are proud to be part of the project team and look forward to the grand opening with the realisation of this vision for our community.”
The report for Tachbrook Country Park will be presented to the Warwick District Council Executive on 11 February 2021.
